Most people have never watched a professional crew work a house, so here is the whole thing.
We walk the place with you before anything gets touched. You tell us what's fragile, what's staying behind, and what needs to come off the truck first at the other end. Then furniture starts coming apart, anywhere apart is easier than turning it sideways down a hallway.
Nothing rides bare. Dressers get padded, corners get taped, and the order never changes: apart, protected, packed, loaded, back together.
At the new place you name the room and that's where the box goes, not the nearest patch of open floor. Furniture gets rebuilt before we leave, beds included. Nobody should spend their first night in a new house on a mattress on the floor.
The rule we run on is simple. Nothing goes on the truck in a way we wouldn't accept for our own mother's furniture.

Plenty of people land somewhere in the middle, and that's fine.
We'll take the whole house or just the kitchen, which is the room most people quit on around the third cabinet. Our packers handle it. Say the word at your estimate and it goes in the plan.
Boxes and materials aren't something we sell, so buy those early if you're packing yourself. One thing worth knowing before you decide: anything you pack, we'll move, but we can't vouch for what's inside it, because we never saw it go in the box. Glassware is usually the stuff worth handing over.

Two to four weeks ahead is the sweet spot for getting on our calendar. Weekends and the back end of the month fill first, so aim earlier if you're after either one. Shorter notice than that, call us and we'll see what we can do.
For everything else, the utilities and the address changes and the closet you've been avoiding, we keep a checklist that runs week by week from four weeks out to moving day. It's the same one our residential movers work from.

They get loaded and moved like everything else. The single limit is that we can't take responsibility for the contents of a box we didn't pack, because we never saw how it went in. If one is heavy on glass, point it out and we'll treat it accordingly.
